These tiles have a loop pile in solution-dyed nylon, so the colour runs through the fibre and holds up in busy rooms. The pile sits between 3 mm and 4 mm. The backing is vinyl, which holds each tile flat and steady. The maker rates these tiles class 33 for heavy contract use, in offices, shops, schools and other busy commercial rooms. Single colours can be mixed across a floor, and the photos above show bright accent tiles laid inside a plain ground. The tiles can be laid quarter turn or in a brick pattern.
Seventeen colours
This range comes in seventeen colours: Navy, Indigo, Rust, Charcoal, Camel, Claret, Slate, Fern, Pewter, Greige, Ochre, Azure, Graphite, Plum, Burgundy, Forest and Onyx. Forest is the dark grey-green ground used in most of the photos. Ochre, Azure, Plum and Claret are the strong accent colours. Every colour is shown close up. At the free visit we bring samples, so you can see the colours in your own light before you decide.
The tiles are laid on tackifier over a flat, dry floor, and a worn or stained tile can be lifted and replaced without touching the rest of the floor. Spare tiles from your order are left with you, and we can fit around desks while an office is in use, including evenings and weekends.
